New York High School Football - St. Joseph-by-the-Sea loses to St. Anthony's
September 6, 2025: Staten Island, NY 10312 St. Anthony's Friars (Melville, NY) followers went home pleased Saturday as they saw their football team gain a win over the host St. Joseph-by-the-Sea Vikings (Staten Island, NY), 40-28 in a non-league match.
The Friars (1-0) will now prepare for their match against Fordham Prep (Bronx, NY). The Rams come into the non-league match with a 0-1 record. In their last match, Fordham Prep was beaten by Kellenberg Memorial (Uniondale, NY), 28-12, in a non-league match.
Coming up next, the Vikings confront the St. Francis Prep Terriers (Fresh Meadows, NY) in a non-league match, on Saturday, September 13. St. Joseph-by-the-Sea will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Terriers come into the match with a 0-1 record after their 35-6 non-league loss to Xavier (New York, NY).
