Lamar Thunder (Lamar, CO) supporters left the game thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Alamosa Mean Moose (Alamosa, CO), 8-1 in a non-league game.

With the win, Lamar betters its record to 6-5 on the season. The Thunder travel to La Junta (La Junta, CO) to play the Tigers in a 3A Tri Peaks I game on Tuesday, September 9. The Tigers come into the match with a record of 6-4. La Junta lost 4-2 in their recent non-league match against Mesa Ridge (Colorado Springs, CO)

In their next game, the Mean Moose confront the Rocky Ford Meloneers (Rocky Ford, CO) in a 3A Tri Peaks I match, on Tuesday, September 9. Alamosa will attempt to better on its 7-4 season record.
