In Saturday's non-league test, the Smoky Hill Buffaloes (Aurora, CO) softball squad overwhelmed the host Doherty Spartans (Colorado Springs, CO), by a tally of 15-4.

Next, the Buffaloes meet the Regis Jesuit Raiders (Aurora, CO) in a non-league outing, on Monday, September 8. Smoky Hill will attempt to move on its 4-5 season record. The Raiders come into the outing with a 2-5 record after their 28-18 non-league loss to Monarch (Louisville, CO).

With the loss, Doherty moves to 1-5 on the season. The Spartans host Liberty (Colorado Springs, CO) to encounter the Lancers in a 5A CSML outing on Tuesday, September 9.
