In Saturday's non-league challenge, the visiting Edwards County Lions volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Hutsonville/Palestine Tigers.

The Lions (7-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Mt. Zion (Mt. Zion, IL). The Braves come into the non-league challenge with a 2-1 record. In their last challenge, Mt. Zion beat Effingham (Effingham, IL), 2-1, in a league challenge.

Next, the Tigers meet the Lawrenceville Indians (Lawrenceville, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, September 9. Hutsonville/Palestine will attempt to upgrade on its 2-2 season record. The Indians come into the challenge with a 5-6 record after their 2-0 non-league win over North Central (Farmersburg, IN).
