Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Little Cypress-Mauriceville Bears (Orange, TX) and the visiting Liberty Panthers (Liberty, TX), observed Little Cypress-Mauriceville's volleyball team hold off Liberty by a count of 2-1.

The Bears (26-6) will now prepare for their contest against Silsbee (Silsbee, TX). The Tigers enter the 4A Region III District 18 contest with a 11-6 record. In their last contest, Silsbee got by Orangefield (Orangefield, TX), 3-2, in a non-league contest.
