September 7, 2023: Shady Spring, WV 25918 The Shady Spring Tigers soccer team scored 7 points and limited the visiting Bluefield Beavers to 0 in the Tigers league victory on Thursday.
Next, the Tigers face the Mingo Central Miners (Matewan, WV) in a Coalfield AA contest, on Monday, September 11. Shady Spring will attempt to better on its 3-2 season record. The Miners enter the contest with a 2-2 record after their 8-1 league loss to PikeView (Princeton, WV).
The Beavers now have a 3-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to James Monroe for a Coalfield AA contest on Tuesday, September 12. Bluefield will face a Mavericks team coming off a 3-2 non-league win over Pocahontas County (Dunmore, WV). The Mavericks record now stands at 5-0.
