Iowa High School Volleyball - Mount Ayr tips Clarke
September 7, 2023: Mount Ayr, IA 50854 Mount Ayr Raiders (Mount Ayr, IA) supporters left the game in high spirits Thursday as they observed their volleyball squad hold off the visiting Clarke Indians (Osceola, IA), 2-1 in a non-league match.
Next up, the Raiders clash with the East Union Eagles (Afton, IA) in a Pride of Iowa match, on Tuesday, September 12. Mount Ayr will attempt to advance on its 4-4 season record. The Eagles come into the match with a 3-5 record after their 3-2 league loss to Central Decatur (Leon, IA).
With the loss, Clarke drops to 5-5 on the campaign. The Indians host Centerville (Centerville, IA) to meet the Big Reds/Redettes in a South Central game on Tuesday, September 12. The Big Reds/Redettes enter the game with a record of 8-7. Centerville lost 2-0 in their recent non-league game against Beckman (Dyersville, IA)
