The crowd at Saturday's league contest between the Mercyhurst Prep Lakers (Erie, PA) and the host Northwestern Wildcats (Albion, PA), witnessed Mercyhurst Prep's football squad knock off Northwestern by a tally of 28-7.

The Lakers (1-2) will now prepare for their contest against Seneca (Erie, PA). The Bobcats enter the District 10 Region 3 contest with a 3-0 record. In their last contest, Seneca gained a win over Union City (Union City, PA), 40-0, in a league contest.

Coming up next, the Wildcats battle the Eisenhower Knights (Russell, PA) in a District 10 Region 3 contest, on Friday, September 13. Northwestern will attempt to better on its 0-3 season record. The Knights enter the contest with a 2-1 record after their 7-0 league win over Iroquois (Erie, PA).
