The Sterling Black Bears topped the host St. John Tigers volleyball squad by a final score of 2-0 in Saturday's non-league game.

Next up, the Black Bears face the Remington Broncos (Whitewater, KS) in a Heart of America game, on Tuesday, September 10. Sterling will attempt to advance on its 4-2 season record. The Broncos go into the game with a 2-2 record after their 2-1 non-league win over Chaparral (Anthony, KS).

The Tigers (2-4) will now prepare for their game against South Gray (Montezuma, KS). The Rebels go into the non-league game with a 6-0 record. In their last game, South Gray gained a win over Pawnee Heights (Rozel, KS), 2-0, in a league game.
