Rhode Island High School Soccer - Mount St. Charles Academy held off by Middletown
September 8, 2022: Woonsocket, RI 02895 In Thursday's league test, the visiting Middletown Islanders soccer squad scored a close 3-2 triumph over the Mount St. Charles Academy Mounties.
The Islanders now sport a 1-0 record. They play next when they host Johnston for a Division 3 test on Monday, September 12. Middletown will meet a Panthers squad coming off a 4-3 league loss to Mt. Pleasant (Providence, RI). The Panthers record now stands at 0-1.
With the loss, Mount St. Charles Academy drops to 1-1 on the season. The Mounties travel to Prout (Wakefield, RI) to meet the Crusaders in a Division 3 test on Monday, September 12. The Crusaders come into the test with a record of 0-1. Prout lost 3-1 in their recent league test against Ponaganset (North Scituate, RI)
