In Thursday's league contest, the Girard Indians (Girard, OH) volleyball squad were winner over the visiting McKinley Red Dragons (Niles, OH), by a margin of 3-0.

Next up, the Indians face the Struthers Wildcats (Struthers, OH) in a Northeast 8 contest, on Tuesday, September 13. Girard will attempt to better on its 7-1 season record.

With the loss, McKinley moves to 2-4 on the year. The Red dragons travel to Jackson-Milton (North Jackson, OH) to face the Bluejays in a non-league contest on Monday, September 12.
