The Covenant Day Lions held off the visiting Metrolina Christian Academy Warriors football team by a final score of 26-25 in Friday's league outing.

With the win, Covenant Day improves its record to 3-0 on the season. The Lions host Asheville Christian Academy (Swannanoa, NC) to confront the Lions in a non-league outing on Friday, September 16. The Lions go into the outing with a record of 1-3. Asheville Christian Academy won 33-31 in their recent non-league outing against High Point Christian Academy (High Point, NC)

With the loss, Metrolina Christian Academy moves to 1-3 on the season. The Warriors host SouthLake Christian Academy (Huntersville, NC) to confront the in a NCISAA Piedmont outing on Friday, September 16. The go into the outing with a record of 0-4.
