In Friday's league match, the visiting Decatur Central Hawks football squad scored a close 17-14 victory over the Martinsville Artesians.

In their next game, the Hawks clash with the Mooresville Pioneers (Mooresville, IN) in a Mid-State match, on Friday, September 16. Decatur Central will attempt to move on its 2-2 season record. The Pioneers enter the match with a 4-0 record after their 42-12 league win over Greenwood (Greenwood, IN).
