The Porter-Gaud Cyclones football team (Charleston, SC), was beaten 30-14 in Friday's league challenge with the host Heathwood Hall Episcopal Highlanders (Columbia, SC)

The Highlanders (2-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Cardinal Newman (Columbia, SC). The Cardinals come into the SCISA AAAA challenge with a 2-1 record. In their last challenge, Cardinal Newman achieved victory over Northwood Academy (Charleston, SC), 48-0, in a non-league challenge.

The Cyclones now sport a 2-2 record. They take the field next when they host Ben Lippen for a SCISA AAAA challenge on Friday, September 16. Porter-Gaud will meet a Falcons team coming off a 15-9 non-league loss to Hilton Head Christian Academy (Hilton Head Island, SC). The Falcons record now stands at 3-1.
