In Friday's league match, the host Palisades Pirates football squad scored a close 47-40 victory over the Palmerton Blue Bombers.
In their next game, the Pirates clash with the Southern Lehigh Spartans (Center Valley, PA) in a Colonial-Schuylkill match, on Friday, September 16. Palisades will attempt to move on its 2-1 season record. The Spartans enter the match with a 2-1 record after their 29-12 league win over Bangor (Bangor, PA).
