September 9, 2022: Irvine, CA 92602 The crowd at Friday's non-league bout between the La Costa Canyon Mavericks (Carlsbad, CA) and the host Beckman Patriots (Irvine, CA), saw La Costa Canyon's volleyball squad beat Beckman by a tally of 2-0.
With the win, La Costa Canyon upgrades its record to 8-5 on the year. The Mavericks travel to Murrieta Valley (Murrieta, CA) to play the Nighthawks in a non-league bout on Saturday, September 10. The Nighthawks go into the bout with a record of 8-1. Murrieta Valley lost 2-0 in their recent non-league bout against Mater Dei (Santa Ana, CA)
The Patriots now own a 10-4 record. They play next when they travel to Cathedral Catholic for a non-league bout on Saturday, September 10. Beckman will play a Dons squad coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Corona del Mar (Newport Beach, CA). The Dons record now stands at 13-0.
