Kentucky High School Soccer - Boyd County held off by Lafayette
September 9, 2023: Lexington, KY 40503 The crowd at Saturday's non-league test between the Lafayette Generals (Lexington, KY) and the visiting Boyd County Lions (Ashland, KY), saw Lafayette's soccer squad get by Boyd County by a count of 1-0.
The Generals now hold a 6-3 record. They play next when they host Bardstown for a non-league test on Tuesday, September 12. Lafayette will meet a Tigers squad coming off a 4-3 non-league win over Pleasure Ridge Park (Louisville, KY). The Tigers record now stands at 9-4.
With the loss, Boyd County drops to 1-7 on the season. The Lions travel to Johnson Central (Paintsville, KY) to meet the Golden Eagles in a non-league test on Thursday, September 14. The Golden Eagles come into the test with a record of 5-5. Johnson Central won 2-0 in their recent non-league test against Belfry (Belfry, KY)
