Oklahoma High School Softball - Afton nudges Chelsea
September 9, 2023: Afton, OK 74331 The crowd at Saturday's non-league match between the Afton Eagles (Afton, OK) and the visiting Chelsea Dragons (Chelsea, OK), saw Afton's softball squad nip Chelsea by a count of 8-7.
The Eagles now sport a 9-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Wyandotte for a non-league match on Saturday, September 9. Afton will face a Bears squad coming off a 10-0 non-league win over Jay (Jay, OK). The Bears record now stands at 21-9.
With the loss, Chelsea falls to 12-20 on the campaign. The Dragons host Oklahoma Union (South Coffeyville, OK) to face the Cougars in a non-league match on Monday, September 11. The Cougars enter the match with a record of 4-16. Oklahoma Union lost 12-0 in their recent non-league match against Pawhuska (Pawhuska, OK)
