September 9, 2023: Rochelle, GA 31079 Spectators at Saturday's non-league match between the Bacon County Raiders (Alma, GA) and the host Wilcox County Patriots (Rochelle, GA), witnessed Bacon County's softball squad prevail over Wilcox County by a count of 9-0.
The Raiders now sport a 13-2 record. They play next when they host Irwin County for a 1A D-I Region 1 match on Wednesday, September 13.
With the loss, Wilcox County moves to 5-5 on the season. The Patriots travel to Long County (Ludowici, GA) to meet the Blue Tide in a non-league match on Saturday, September 9.
