September 9, 2023: Jonesboro, GA 30236 The Lovejoy Wildcats (Lovejoy, GA) softball routed the host Mt. Zion Bulldogs (Jonesboro, GA), 18-1 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Wildcats (8-3) will now prepare for their bout against Jonesboro (Jonesboro, GA). The Cardinals go into the non-league bout with a 1-3 record. In their last bout, Jonesboro was routed by Morrow (Morrow, GA), 50-44, in a league bout.
The Bulldogs now possess a 2-9 record. They play next when they travel to Lovett for a 4A Region 5 bout on Monday, September 11. Mt. Zion will confront a Lions squad coming off a 10-0 league win over McDonough (McDonough, GA). The Lions record now stands at 5-5.
