Virginia High School Volleyball - Amherst County tips Mecklenburg County
September 9, 2025: Baskerville, VA 23915 Fans at Tuesday's non-league contest between the Amherst County Lancers (Amherst, VA) and the host Mecklenburg County Phoenix (Baskerville, VA), observed Amherst County's volleyball team hold off Mecklenburg County by a count of 2-1.
The Lancers (1-4) will now prepare for their contest against Liberty Christian (Lynchburg, VA). The Bulldogs enter the non-league contest with a 0-4 record. In their last contest, Liberty Christian was tipped by Lord Botetourt (Daleville, VA), 2-0, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Phoenix encounter the Randolph-Henry Statesmen (Charlotte Court House, VA) in a non-league battle, on Thursday, September 11. Mecklenburg County will attempt to improve on its 2-3 season record. The Statesmen go into the battle with a 4-0 record after their 2-1 non-league win over Mecklenburg County (Baskerville, VA).
