Spectators at Thursday's non-league match between the Durant Wildcats (Durant, IA) and the visiting Tipton Tigers (Tipton, IA), witnessed Durant's softball squad prevail over Tipton by a count of 13-1.
The Wildcats now sport a 1-0 record. They play next when they travel to Lone Tree for a non-league match on Friday, May 30.
With the loss, Tipton moves to 0-1 on the season. The Tigers host Camanche (Camanche, IA) to meet the Indians in a non-league match on Tuesday, June 3. The Indians go into the match with a record of 0-0.
