The Declo Hornets (Declo, ID) basketball felled the host Gooding Senators (Gooding, ID), 56-44 in Friday's league test.

The Hornets (7-4) will now prepare for their test against Wendell (Wendell, ID). The Trojans go into the 2A Canyon test with a 5-3 record. In their last test, Wendell defeated Shoshone (Shoshone, ID), 39-38, in a non-league test.

The Senators now own a 3-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Buhl for a non-league test on Saturday, January 15. Gooding will clash with a Indians squad coming off a 57-49 league win over Kimberly (Kimberly, ID). The Indians record now stands at 4-5.
