Illinois High School Baseball - St. Patrick defeats Elgin
St. Patrick Shamrocks (Chicago, IL) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Elgin Maroons (Elgin, IL), 20-13 in a non-league test.
With the win, St. Patrick upgrades its record to 5-12 on the season. The Shamrocks host Marist (Chicago, IL) to battle the Red Hawks in a East Suburban Catholic test on Saturday, May 14. The Red Hawks come into the test with a record of 9-17. Marist won 4-3 in their recent league test against St. Viator (Arlington Heights, IL)
With the defeat, Elgin falls to 1-10 on the season. The Maroons travel to North (St. Charles, IL) to battle the North Stars in a Upstate Eight test on Thursday, May 12. The North Stars come into the test with a record of 15-2. North won 13-7 in their recent league battle against Streamwood (Streamwood, IL)
