The Jersey Panthers baseball team scored 10 runs and held the visiting Springfield Southeast Spartans to 0 in the Panthers non-league win on Saturday.

The Panthers now hold a 8-4 record. They take the field next when they host Highland for a Mississippi Valley test on Monday, April 14. Jersey will play a Bulldogs team coming off a 12-1 non-league win over Wesclin (Trenton, IL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 4-4.

With the defeat, Springfield Southeast drops to 3-9 on the year. The Spartans travel to Pleasant Plains (Pleasant Plains, IL) to play the Cardinals in a non-league test on Monday, April 14. The Cardinals go into the test with a record of 10-2. Pleasant Plains lost 5-1 in their recent non-league test against Bishop McNamara (Kankakee, IL)
