Polo Marcos (Polo, IL) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad nip the host River Ridge Wildcats (Hanover, IL), 67-60 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Polo upgrades its record to 14-3 on the season. The Marcos host Ashton-Franklin Center (Ashton, IL) to encounter the Raiders in a Northwest Upstate Illini - East bout on Tuesday, January 27. The Raiders go into the bout with a record of 0-12. Ashton-Franklin Center lost 64-56 in their recent non-league bout against Hiawatha (Kirkland, IL)
Next up, the Wildcats encounter the Galena Pirates (Galena, IL) in a Northwest Upstate Illini - West bout, on Tuesday, January 27. River Ridge will attempt to upgrade on its 3-8 season record.
