Bishop McNamara Fightin' Irish (Kankakee, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Kankakee Kays (Kankakee, IL), 18-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Fightin' Irish now own a 15-5 record. They take the field next when they host IC Catholic Prep for a Metro Suburban challenge on Monday, April 29. Bishop McNamara will battle a Knights squad coming off a 8-0 non-league win over Chicago Christian (Palos Heights, IL). The Knights record now stands at 12-8.

With the loss, Kankakee falls to 7-6 on the campaign. The Kays travel to Crete-Monee (Crete, IL) to battle the Warriors in a SICA - South challenge on Monday, April 29. The Warriors enter the challenge with a record of 8-3. Crete-Monee won 22-0 in their recent league challenge against Rich East (Park Forest, IL)
