Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Halstead Dragons (Halstead, KS) and the visiting Lyons Lions (Lyons, KS), saw Halstead's basketball squad overcome Lyons by a count of 71-52.

With the victory, Halstead upgrades its record to 15-3 on the campaign. The Dragons travel to Haven (Haven, KS) to play the Wildcats in a Mid-Central challenge on Tuesday, February 23. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a record of 13-7. Haven lost 54-39 in their recent league challenge against Nickerson (Nickerson, KS)

Next up, the Lions play the Hesston Swathers (Hesston, KS) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, February 23. Lyons will attempt to upgrade on its 3-17 season record. The Swathers come into the battle with a 13-6 record after their 38-37 league loss to Sterling (Sterling, KS).
