Julio Ibarra has been named player of the year. "Senior Julio Ibarra was chosen as WOL Fire Player of the Year. Julio led the Fire in in RBI (42) and doubles (15) and was second on the team in batting average (.441). Julio also led the Fire with 5 outfield assists. Julio was one of the key components to the Fire's record breaking season. Batting third for the season, Julio established balance through the lineup while also carrying himself in a professional manner. Defensively, Julio saved more runs due to his impressive arm and fielding ability. Being that Julio is a senior, WOL Fire Baseball will miss his leadership and playing ability. Julio has signed with Pratt Community College."
