Kentucky High School Baseball - Scott County defeats Dixie Heights
Scott County Cardinals (Georgetown, KY) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Dixie Heights Colonels (Edgewood, KY), 8-1 in a non-league test.
With the win, Scott County upgrades its record to 10-17 on the season. The Cardinals travel to Madison Central (Richmond, KY) to battle the Indians in a non-league test on Tuesday, May 10. The Indians come into the test with a record of 22-3. Madison Central won 11-1 in their recent non-league game against Lexington Christian (Lexington, KY)
The Colonels (10-11) will now prepare for their game against Bishop Brossart (Alexandria, KY). The Mustangs go into the non-league game with a 19-7 record. In their last game, Bishop Brossart was overwhelmed by Christian Academy (Louisville, KY), 5-2, in a non-league game.
