Hackberry Mustangs (Hackberry, LA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Starks Panthers (Starks, LA), 66-55 in a league bout.

With the win, Hackberry upgrades its record to 12-14 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Johnson Bayou (Cameron, LA) to clash with the Rebels in a C District 7 bout on Tuesday, February 5. The Rebels go into the bout with a record of 13-15. Johnson Bayou lost 68-53 in their recent league bout against Northside Christian (Crowley, LA)
