Louisiana High School Basketball - Ruston prevails Sterlington
Ruston Bearcats (Ruston, LA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Sterlington Panthers (Sterlington, LA), 59-51 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Ruston upgrades its record to 13-5 on the season. The Bearcats host Choudrant (Choudrant, LA) to play the Aggies in a non-league bout on Monday, January 7. The Aggies go into the bout with a record of 17-10.
Next up, the Panthers play the Ferriday Trojans (Ferriday, LA) in a 2A District 2 bout, on Tuesday, January 8. Sterlington will attempt to upgrade on its 15-6 season record. The Trojans go into the bout with a 5-11 record after their 68-49 non-league loss to New Living Word (Ruston, LA).
