The Cactus Shadows Falcons basketball team (Cave Creek, AZ), was nudged 48-46 in Wednesday's non-league battle with the host Higley Knights (Gilbert, AZ)

The Knights now possess a 8-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Notre Dame Prep for a non-league battle on Thursday, January 4. Higley will confront a Saints team coming off a 64-52 non-league win over Pinnacle (Phoenix, AZ). The Saints record now stands at 14-3.

The Falcons (8-4) will now prepare for their battle against Fairfax (Laveen, AZ). The Stampede come into the non-league battle with a 5-7 record. In their last battle, Fairfax edged South Mountain (Phoenix, AZ), 66-53, in a league battle.
