The Desert Mountain Wolves (Scottsdale, AZ) basketball felled the visiting Cactus Shadows Falcons (Cave Creek, AZ), 74-62 in Thursday's league test.

The Wolves (18-5) will now prepare for their test against Horizon (Scottsdale, AZ). The Huskies go into the 5A Northeast Valley test with a 4-18 record. In their last test, Horizon was beaten by Cactus Shadows (Cave Creek, AZ), 65-35, in a league test.

The Falcons now own a 13-8 record. They play next when they travel to Chaparral for a 5A Northeast Valley test on Friday, February 2. Cactus Shadows will encounter a Firebirds squad coming off a 68-35 non-league win over Copper Canyon (Glendale, AZ). The Firebirds record now stands at 10-11.
