Virginia High School Basketball - Buckingham bested by Appomattox County
January 29, 2025: Buckingham, VA 23921 Appomattox County Raiders (Appomattox, VA) supporters left the game happy Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad run past the host Buckingham Knights (Buckingham, VA), 51-32 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Appomattox County advances its record to 10-7 on the year. The Raiders travel to Altavista (Altavista, VA) to meet the Colonels in a Dogwood match on Friday, January 31. The Colonels enter the match with a record of 3-13. Altavista lost 47-28 in their recent league match against William Campbell (Naruna, VA)
The Knights now own a 8-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Cumberland for a James River match on Friday, January 31. Buckingham will meet a Dukes squad coming off a 38-28 league loss to Lunenburg Central (Victoria, VA). The Dukes record now stands at 10-6.
