In Tuesday's league contest, the host Wise Pumas basketball team scored a close 75-72 win over the Laurel Spartans.

The Pumas (16-4) will now prepare for their contest against Northwestern (Hyattsville, MD). The Wildcats come into the Prince George's County 4A contest with a 2-12 record. In their last contest, Northwestern was tipped by Bowie (Bowie, MD), 64-49, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Spartans battle the Eleanor Roosevelt Raiders (Greenbelt, MD) in a Prince George's County 4A contest, on Thursday, February 20. Laurel will attempt to better on its 17-3 season record.
