Maryland High School Basketball - Lackey holds off Calvert
February 10, 2020: Indian Head, MD 20640 Fans at Monday's league challenge between the Lackey Chargers (Indian Head, MD) and the visiting Calvert Cavaliers (Prince Frederick, MD), saw Lackey's basketball squad hold off Calvert by a tally of 59-53.
With the victory, Lackey improves its record to 10-9 on the campaign. The Chargers travel to Stone (Waldorf, MD) to confront the Cougars in a Southern Maryland challenge on Wednesday, February 12. The Cougars come into the challenge with a record of 13-5. Stone lost 66-58 in their recent league challenge against St. Charles (Waldorf, MD)
Next up, the Cavaliers confront the Northern Patriots (Owings, MD) in a Southern Maryland game, on Wednesday, February 12. Calvert will attempt to move on its 5-14 season record. The Patriots enter the game with a 4-13 record after their 63-51 league loss to Huntingtown (Huntingtown, MD).
