Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Portage tipped by North Star

The North Star Cougars basketball team scored 67 points and held the host Portage Mustangs to 63 in the Cougars league triumph on Friday.

The Cougars now sport a 5-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Conemaugh Township for a Western Pennsylvania - Northern contest on Tuesday, January 30. North Star will meet a Indians team coming off a 63-59 league loss to Blacklick Valley (Nanty Glo, PA). The Indians record now stands at 8-8.

The Mustangs (3-12) will now prepare for their contest against Penn Cambria (Cresson, PA). The Panthers enter the non-league contest with a 5-11 record. In their last contest, Penn Cambria was nudged by Bishop Guilfoyle (Altoona, PA), 96-72, in a league contest.
