Iowa High School Softball - Humboldt holds off Mason City
June 1, 2019: Humboldt, IA 50548 Humboldt Wildcats (Humboldt, IA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Mason City Mohawks (Mason City, IA), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.
The Wildcats now own a 9-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Hampton-Dumont for a non-league challenge on Monday, June 3. Humboldt will battle a Bulldogs squad coming off a 15-1 non-league win over Coon Rapids-Bayard (Coon Rapids, IA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 4-3.
With the loss, Mason City falls to 3-1 on the campaign. The Mohawks travel to Des Moines East (Des Moines, IA) to battle the Scarlets in a non-league challenge on Friday, June 7. The Scarlets enter the challenge with a record of 2-4.
