Kansas High School Basketball - Southwestern Heights nudges Cimarron

The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Southwestern Heights Mustangs (Kismet, KS) and the host Cimarron Bluejays (Cimarron, KS), observed Southwestern Heights's basketball team edge Cimarron by a score of 59-54.

The Mustangs (9-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Lakin (Lakin, KS). The Broncs come into the Hi-Plains challenge with a 12-1 record. In their last challenge, Lakin edged Elkhart (Elkhart, KS), 75-44, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Bluejays encounter the Hugoton Eagles (Hugoton, KS) in a Great Western challenge, on Tuesday, February 4. Cimarron will attempt to improve on its 4-10 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 5-8 record after their 59-56 league win over Scott (Scott City, KS).
