The Corona del Sol Aztecs got by the visiting Highland Hawks softball squad by a count of 10-9 in Thursday's league battle.

The Aztecs (13-10) will now prepare for their battle against Queen Creek (Queen Creek, AZ). The Bulldogs go into the 6A Central battle with a 19-4 record. In their last battle, Queen Creek nudged Desert Ridge (Mesa, AZ), 13-4, in a league battle.

The Hawks now sport a 14-11 record. They play next when they host Desert Vista for a 6A Central battle on Tuesday, April 19. Highland will meet a Thunder squad coming off a 14-0 league win over Mountain Pointe (Phoenix, AZ). The Thunder record now stands at 22-6.
