Maryland High School Basketball - Wicomico can't hold off Bennett
January 16, 2025: Salisbury, MD 21804 Bennett Clippers (Salisbury, MD) supporters left the game happy Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the host Wicomico Indians (Salisbury, MD), 56-52 in a league match.
With the victory, Bennett advances its record to 8-4 on the year. The Clippers travel to Parkside (Salisbury, MD) to face the Rams in a Bayside - South match on Wednesday, January 22. The Rams enter the match with a record of 7-6. Parkside lost 52-46 in their recent league match against Decatur (Berlin, MD)
The Indians now own a 8-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Chincoteague for a non-league match on Saturday, January 18. Wicomico will face a Ponies squad coming off a 67-60 non-league loss to Salisbury Christian (Salisbury, MD). The Ponies record now stands at 2-4.
