Peoria Panthers (Peoria, AZ) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Buena Colts (Sierra Vista, AZ), 53-39 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Peoria upgrades its record to 10-5 on the season. The Panthers travel to American Leadership Academy - Gilbert North (Gilbert, AZ) to clash with the Eagles in a non-league bout on Friday, January 5. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 7-6. American Leadership Academy - Gilbert North lost 42-19 in their recent non-league bout against Vista Grande (Casa Grande, AZ)

Next up, the Colts clash with the Sunnyside Blue Devils (Tucson, AZ) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Buena will attempt to upgrade on its 3-8 season record. The Blue Devils go into the bout with a 16-2 record after their 50-17 non-league win over Flowing Wells (Tucson, AZ).
