The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Rocky River Ravens (Mint Hill, NC) and the host Independence Patriots (Charlotte, NC), observed Rocky River's basketball team overwhelm Independence by a score of 54-19.

The Ravens (9-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Garinger (Charlotte, NC). The Wildcats come into the 4A Southwestern challenge with a 3-11 record. In their last challenge, Garinger was routed by Providence (Charlotte, NC), 62-24, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Patriots battle the Butler Bulldogs (Matthews, NC) in a 4A Southwestern challenge, on Friday, January 17. Independence will attempt to improve on its 0-16 season record.
