In Saturday's non-league outing, the Shelby Whippets (Shelby, OH) basketball squad beat the visiting Lexington Minutemen (Lexington, OH), by a margin of 62-52.

The Whippets (23-2) will now prepare for their outing against Shawnee (Lima, OH). The Indians go into the non-league outing with a 19-6 record. In their last outing, Shawnee defeated Memorial (St. Marys, OH), 53-45, in a non-league outing.

The Minutemen now own a 22-3 record.
