West Virginia High School Basketball - Liberty thwarts Moorefield
January 24, 2025: Clarksburg, WV 26301 The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Liberty Mountaineers (Clarksburg, WV) and the visiting Moorefield Yellow Jackets (Moorefield, WV), observed Liberty's basketball team knock off Moorefield by a score of 48-35.
The Mountaineers (4-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Grafton (Grafton, WV). The Bearcats come into the Big Ten challenge with a 0-6 record. In their last challenge, Grafton was knocked off by Elkins (Elkins, WV), 52-40, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Yellow Jackets encounter the Philip Barbour Colts (Philippi, WV) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 25. Moorefield will attempt to improve on its 4-7 season record. The Colts come into the challenge with a 1-7 record after their 57-43 league win over Grafton (Grafton, WV).
