The Freedom Patriots basketball squad (Morganton, NC), was crushed 75-50 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting Asheville Christian Academy Lions (Swannanoa, NC)

With the victory, Asheville Christian Academy advances its record to 8-2 on the year. The Lions host Greensboro Day School (Greensboro, NC) to meet the Bengals in a non-league battle on Friday, January 3. The Bengals enter the battle with a record of 17-3. Greensboro Day School lost 52-46 in their recent non-league battle against William Penn Charter (Philadelphia, PA)

The Patriots now own a 10-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hibriten for a 3A/4A Northwestern battle on Friday, January 10.
