The Savannah Country Day Hornets basketball team scored 50 points and limited the host Hilton Head Island Seahawks to 34 in the Hornets non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Hornets now have a 10-2 record. They play next when they host Savannah Christian for a A D1 Region 3 game on Tuesday, January 7.

With the loss, Hilton Head Island falls to 2-8 on the campaign. The Seahawks travel to Bishop England (Charleston, SC) to confront the Battling Bishops in a AAAA Region 6 game on Tuesday, January 7. The Battling Bishops go into the game with a record of 11-3. Bishop England won 57-51 in their recent non-league game against Wando (Mt. Pleasant, SC)
