The crowd at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the North Phoenix Preparatory Academy Gladiators (Phoenix, AZ) and the visiting Patagonia Lobos (Patagonia, AZ), observed North Phoenix Preparatory Academy's basketball team edge Patagonia by a score of 31-24.

The Gladiators (10-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Arete Prep (Gilbert, AZ). The CHARGERS come into the non-league challenge with a 9-11 record. In their last challenge, Arete Prep edged Chandler Prep (Chandler, AZ), 44-32, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Lobos encounter the Valley Union Blue Devils (Elfrida, AZ) in a 1A South challenge, on Thursday, January 30. Patagonia will attempt to improve on its 5-14 season record. The Blue Devils come into the challenge with a 7-12 record after their 58-11 league win over Lourdes Catholic (Nogales, AZ).
