Arizona High School Basketball - Desert Mountain tops Sunrise Mountain
December 12, 2023: Peoria, AZ 85382 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Desert Mountain Wolves (Scottsdale, AZ) and the host Sunrise Mountain Mustangs (Peoria, AZ), saw Desert Mountain's basketball squad knock off Sunrise Mountain by a tally of 74-58.
With the victory, Desert Mountain improves its record to 5-1 on the campaign. The Wolves host North Canyon (Phoenix, AZ) to play the Rattlers in a non-league challenge on Thursday, December 14. The Rattlers come into the challenge with a record of 4-4. North Canyon lost 68-51 in their recent non-league challenge against Boulder Creek (Anthem, AZ)
Next up, the Mustangs play the Willow Canyon Wildcats (Surprise, AZ) in a 5A Northwest challenge, on Friday, December 15. Sunrise Mountain will attempt to improve on its 5-5 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 9-1 record after their 114-29 non-league win over Lake Havasu (Lake Havasu City, AZ).
